About Elise

I sewed my first garment eight years ago and remember feeling extremely overwhelmed with everything from what type of fabric to use to what a basting stitch was. I now find myself pulling something homemade out of my closet to wear almost every day.

I am not an expert sewist! I don't know all the secrets. But I have learned a lot over the years and am excited to help you get started on your own garment sewing adventure.

My goal for this class is to help you get over the initial overwhelm (and fear!) when it comes to sewing your own clothing from a pattern. I think you'll find my teaching style clear, approachable and encouraging and I know you'll be so excited to start sewing when you complete the course.

I hope you'll join me!
